It's been said, �K-2nd grade your child has learned to read, now 3rd grade on your child will read to learn." My name is Mrs. Cain. Parents may call me Ruth. I have been married 27 years and have 4 children. We moved to Florida in 1995. I love teaching and watching children learn. Our classroom will be fun, but I will have high expectations of every child. The first week we learn all the routines that we need to know to help make our classroom work to its full potential for the year. We will go over procedures and safety issues. There is a lot of new material learned in the fifth grade. The parents' help and support is vital to make this a successful year. Homework is a must to make sure your child is not left behind. Your participation in your child's education is so important. Make sure you have a regular place and time to do homework. Your help in the classroom will be appreciated. I know everyone is busy, but please take the time on recognition days to help your child feel important. If you have any concerns or questions call me at school during my planning time, 361-6200.
